A total of 515 cultural works on sailing collected from around the world will be exhibited in east China`s Qingdao during the third edition of Sailing Week in August, officials of local sports administration said Wednesday.

The cultural works, including posters, pictures, brochures and souvenirs, are collected from three national Olympic museums, five national sailing associations and 13 cities with important sailing events, said Lin Zhiwei, head of local sports administration.

Lausanne Olympic Museum, Barcelona Olympic Museum and organizing committee of the Kiel Sailing Week of Germany all sent cultural works on their sailing events to Qingdao, Lin said.

Goran Petersson, President of the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) and other experts on sailing and arts were invited to select top ten out of the 515 cultural works.

The Third Qingdao Sailing Week will be held from Aug 20 to Sept 4.

Qingdao, a coastal city of east China`s Shandong province, was the venue of sailing events of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
