Yantai woos talents from around the world

Yantai high-tech industrial zone held a recruitment fair in Beijing on April 2 to help publicize a talent program, which aims to recruit 100 high-caliber personnel from both home and abroad over the next five years.

"Yantai high-tech industrial zone is welcoming local and international talents to work and live in Yantai with our best policies and service,” stated Liu Hongbo, head of Yantai high-tech industrial zone.

Under the Yantai zone talent program, 10 of the 100 high-caliber workers recruited will play leading roles in their sectors, and will have the capability to found innovation-oriented enterprises.

Favorable funds will be allocated to support those recruited under the program, such as a 100 million yuan innovation subsidy and a 20 million yuan career startup fund.

World-class innovation-oriented teams will also be eligible for financial provisions of as much as 50 million yuan.

Eight research and development(R&D)-focused institutes, including the national science and technology institute of Beihang University, the union of pioneer parks for overseas students, China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology, and the Institute of Automation under Chinese Academy of Sciences, have signed agreements with the Yantai high-tech industrial zone during the recruitment fair, and are willing to co-operate in helping the zone find the right workers.
