After an old trash collector fainted beside a garbage can in Qingdao, Shandong province, his dog barked for help and stood by him until medical personnel arrived.

The trash collector, surnamed Wang, who is in his 60s, fainted last Monday while collecting rubbish. His dog immediately responded to his distress, running circles around him and barking for help.

After an ambulance took the man to hospital, the dog remained in place waiting for his master to return.

Wang regained consciousness after receiving emergency treatment, though his family never showed up at the hospital.
