Shandong Comission of Finance says that it plans to raise eighty million yuan to boost the development of the free admission to the provincial public library,museum and art gallery by reward money instead of grant before the end of 2011.

According to the policy, the municipal library and museum will get fifty million allowance; the county`s will get at least twenty million.

On request of Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Finance, Shandong is going to take step to promote the free admission policy to improve the level of public cultural services.

In order to formulate the standards of financial assistance,Shandong Commission of Finance proposed the standards and the project of the public cultural services grants after researching and estimating the six counties from the three cities ,including Jining,Liaocheng and Weihai. Each of the municipal library and museum will get at least fifty million allowance; each of the county`s will get at least twenty million.

According to the requirements,all the provincial, municipal and national first-class museums and libraries will be free before july 1st 2011; other public ones and basic services of public facility site would be free without any threshold before the end of 2011.

Until the first half year of 2012,the provincial museums,public libraries,art galleries and culture center are all going to offer basic public cultural services for free and promote the level to form more than two service brands.(Qiluwanbao)
