A new hotel is now under construction at Qingdao Sailing Center of the 2008 Beijing Olympics with an estimated budget of 1.5 billion RMB ($223.7 million), and is due to be completed in the first half of 2013, according to the Qingdao City Investment Group.

The Four Season Hotel, located in the dry dock region of Qingdao Sailing Center, is designed to fit in seamlessly with the characteristics of the center while maintaining the high historical value of the old dock. Facing the Bohai Sea of Shandong Peninsula, the hotel aims to achieve a perfect integration into its surrounding sea areas.

With a standard of five stars, the hotel’s 23-floor main building includes 225 standard rooms and luxurious suites and 80 apartments. The first-class restaurants, conference rooms equipped with high-tech devices and hydrotherapy center are also available in the hotel water garden area.
