Taishan Mountain boasts dual UNESCO laurels as a world cultural heritage site and a world natural heritage site. The scenic attraction is widely regarded as the symbol of the core Chinese values -- tenacity, energy, magnanimity, justice and harmony.

It has been crowned “the head of the five most renowned mountains in China” since imperial times. “Mount Taishan is the encapsulation of Chinese history and culture,” wrote Guo Moruo, a well-known voice in Chinese literary circles.
