A man in Yantai, Shandong province, got in trouble after he tried to extort money from the man who stole his motorcycle.

Xu was playing billiards when his motorcycle was stolen. A camera revealed Qu, who frequented the billiards hall, stole the motorcycle.

Rather than going to the police, Xu asked Qu to return the bike and pay 20,000 yuan in compensation.

Qu felt threatened by Xu and his three friends and agreed to pay. He later went to the police who arrested Xu.

The court sentenced the four to 18 months probation.
