As the second largest movie market after the United States, China saw its box office hit 4.6 billion US dollars in 2014 - a 36 percent jump year on year. While 55 percent of movies that grossed more than 100 million RMB last year were domestic productions, Hollywood blockbusters still dominated the Chinese market.

　　Transformers: Age of Extinction claimed the title of top-grossing film of all time in 2014, but has since been replaced by Furious 7, which grossed 376 million dollars this year.
