In 1939, 13-year-old Elizabeth met with the 18-year-old Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark in the Royal Naval College in Dartmouth where she was studying. She felt in love with him at the first sight.
In 1947, Prince Philip renounced his right to be throne, converted his nationality and religion in order to marry her. In their 65 years` married life they went through a series of difficulties: the cruel World War II, the long Cold War, the Financial Crisis, the Family Crisis.
If the most perfect love is "to hold your hand, to grow old with you", then the 85-year-old Queen and her husband made it.
