A performance of songs and dances staged at the opening ceremony of the 25th Taishan Mountain International Climbing Festival was held on Sept 6 at Taishan Stadium in the city of Tai`an, Shandong province.

Celebrities from Taiwan, Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland performed at the show, including Taiwan singers Zheng Zhihua and Huang An, the S wing band and Zhu Zhiwen.

The ongoing festival, held annually in Tai`an city, will run until Sept 12. It features various tourist and business activities, including an international mountain climbing invitational tournament, an investment and trade talk and the 2011 Taishan MAO International Rock Festival.
