BERLIN, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- Visiting China`s top political advisor Jia Qinglin expounded China`s concept on future development and made several proposals on furthering its ties with Germany on Thursday.

China will attach greater importance to further expanding internal demands and placing innovation with science and technology on priority for future development, Jia said while addressing the Sino-German Enterprises Cooperation Forum in Berlin.

China will also highlight on maintaining ecological balance, further enhance opening-up, and adhere to the road of peaceful development, said Jia, chairman of the Chinese People`s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee.

Germany has maintained its status as one of the world`s leading economies over a long run and kept its international influence on rise, Jia added.

Greatly renowned worldwide and claiming a top-spot at the high-end in the global industrial chains, the German manufacturing industry has not only kept up to the world`s advanced level, but also possesses obvious edge in terms of the newly-thriving manufacturing sector, said Jia.

Jia said he was highly appreciative of the German consistency to concentrate on the development of the real economy, particularly as it puts manufacturing industry on the core position, as he affirmed it results directly in the fact that the German economy can get well-steeled through the financial crisis in 2008 and take the lead in developed countries for quick recovery.

Jia expressed his belief that the strategic partnership between the two countries will be sure to forge ahead always along the correct tracks only if both sides show mutual respects, treat each other equally and take care of the other`s core interests from a strategic and long-run perspective.

Bilateral economic and trade cooperation has been the locomotive and stabilizer for the Sino-German relations, as Jia noted that the trade volumes between the two countries had increased by over 500 folds from only 275 million U.S. dollars upon the diplomatic ties were forged some 40 years ago to some 142.4 billion dollars last year, accounting for nearly 30 percent in the total volumes of Sino-EU trades.

Jia said China will pursue the main objective of accelerating transformation of economic development model, speeding up strategic adjustment of the economic structure, pushing forward the long term stable and quicker economic development over a long run and maintaining social harmony and stability.

He said that China will continue to stick to the independent peaceful foreign policy, no interference into other countries` internal affairs and not to impose own willing onto others.

Jia put forward three proposals on intensifying the Sino-German pragmatic cooperations on economic and trade ties, stressing further tapping market potentials, expanding trade scale, enhancing two-way direct investment and intensifying industrial interactions, while expanding the cooperative spheres and striking up new highlights for future cooperation.

Jia arrived in Germany on Sunday for a 6-day visit. Germany is the last stop of Jia`s three-nation European tour, which has already taken him to Greece and the Netherlands.
