BEIJING, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov left Beijing Thursday for a southern city of Shenzhen, as he continued his China state visit.

In Shenzhen, Berdymukhamedov will meet with local officials to discuss trade cooperation.

Berdymukhamedov met Wednesday with Chinese President Hu Jintao, top legislator Wu Bangguo, Premier Wen Jiabao, and other Chinese leaders in Beijing.

During his stay in Beijing, President Berdymukhamedov and President Hu signed a joint statement on strengthening bilateral ties and upgrading cooperation.

The two countries signed 14 agreements, including those on natural gas supply, loans to purchase oil and gas equipment, internal affairs cooperation, police training cooperation, as well as anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism.

Berdymukhamedov arrived in Beijing on Tuesday for a four-day state visit. It has been his third state visit to China since he became the leader of Turkmenistan in 2007.
