Foreign talents boost Jining's development

A promotion conference held in Jining showcased more than 200 achievements made by working with so-called "foreign talents" --that is, experts from overseas who provide advice and information to China.

The conference, which focused on accomplishments in agriculture, industry and culture, was attended by 81 foreign talents-backed organizations and enterprises, according to Xu Enli, deputy director of the Foreign Experts Affairs in Jining.

China Services International (Qufu) was set up in 2006 for providing a platform for Jining to introduce foreign talent. To date, Jining has established cooperation relationship with 30 foreign talents-related organizations.

Zheng Xinsheng, Deputy Director of the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, praised the work done by Jining on introducing foreign talent to the region.

Jining has invited about 300 foreign experts from Japan, Israel, Australia, France and Germany to give advice subjects such as vegetable planting and sea-product breeding. The city also introduced foreign experts to serve in enterprises in sectors such as machinery, medication, textile and food processing.
